For many years we have collaborated with Cannelli Printing in New Haven to produce annual holiday cards. Showcasing our concepts and their technical skills, the final pieces indeed work as promotional materials for both of us. But our purpose goes much deeper than this right from the onset: our business is founded on relationships and teamwork, and while we enjoy being able to design pieces to highlight that, we are driven to do so while giving back: each year we contribute to causes in honor of our clients and send out a special message that becomes a gift unto itself.
This year’s gift was a simple yet elegant presentation of 12 die-cut gift tags that each represent 12 classroom projects, funded through an innovative education charity that is dear to our hearts. The message reads…
This year we have funded 12 classroom projects around the country, in your name, through Donors Choose. The online charity helps students and teachers get materials they need for varied projects. Due to lack of funding or means, these needs are often quite basic but vital to a more complete education. We personally cannot bear to imagine eager music students without proper instruments, or unstocked art supply closets, and now we won’t have to, thanks to so many wonderful donor programs. We urge you to check out the inspiring organization whose process puts the decision-making power in the hands of those who know best and are on the front lines: the teachers.

The best gifts are those that keep on giving. We had supported Donors Choose programs in the past, and one particularly touching component to this charity is that the children in the classrooms write and send thank yous with photographs of their project dollars at work.
