When Bayer branched off their Biological Products as an independent company, Talecris Biotherapeutics, they retained us as their designers. Talecris was in the plasma business, creating a variety of therapies. Since we had years of experience working with multiple divisions of Bayer, we were intimately familiar with the business protocol and guidelines. We designed printed materials and forward-facing communications for the public and stakeholders, internal newsletters, and gifts and giveaways.

It is critical for organizations, especially in times of change, to keep in direct and frequent communication with employees. We worked with Talecris to build their employee newsletter Dialogue — which was an oversized bi-monthly pub aimed to keep morale high, incentivize productivity, and provide staff recognition.
Each issue of Dialogue included a feedback mechanism to allow employees to contribute to the editorial, comment on previous stories, or answer surveys about their relationship with the company. This area of the publication gained lots of traction among staff, and as a small token of appreciation they received branded gifts such as this pocket mint case.
Holiday cards are a valuable, but often overlooked, opportunity to make a memorable statement on behalf of your organization. It's a busy time of year for mail so we always see these projects as a challenge to stand out, and we just love it when clients see the potential and work with us to push things farther. While most would stop at a card that simply opens to a message, we created something much more interactive — a card that begs to be fully experienced. This concept was a mash-up of a traditional Advent calendar and the Periodic Table of the Elements, where actual die-cut windows open to reveal tiny illustrations of brand hallmarks through their various product lines and therapies.
