CHEFA Community Development Corporation
When CHEFA (Connecticut Health & Educational Facilities Authority) was ready to launch a new subsidiary, it turned to Ink&Pixel to create the branding, messaging, public relations, and event marketing. The subsidiary, called the “CHEFA Community Development Corporation” (CHEFA CDC), was created to jump-start investment and economic growth in Connecticut in underserved economic areas. It offers financing that utilizes New Markets Tax Credits to fund projects for nonprofit organizations serving low-income Connecticut communities.
CHEFA needed a strategy to not only launch the CDC to the press, but also educate business and nonprofit audiences about the complexities of the tax program and how they could benefit. We began with a strategic review of the CDC’s objectives, audiences, and business plan. From there, we designed the CDC brand, including the logo, font, color story, and messaging, that would be used across marketing materials and communication platforms.
