There’s a lot that goes into building a brand, and homegrown bakeries are no exception. Since its premiere in 2018, Zest by Zophia, a Pop-Up Culinary Experience, has celebrated multiple successful events, with high-caliber confections and the merchandise to match. The shop not only feeds hungry bellies, but donates all proceeds to philanthropic organizations. It’s hard to feel guilty when your sweet tooth is helping so many people!
It’s now 2020, and Zest has officially moved online. Customers can now reach out whenever they’re having a craving, and fans can keep up-to-date on future Zest events. You can also learn about Zophia’s story, and what inspires her to make such incredible concoctions.
Zophia has always enjoyed expressing her creativity through the culinary arts. From a very young age she excelled at baking. What began as a hobby, blossomed into a successful business by the time she was eleven. Zest by Zophia has catered countless parties and hosted pop-up events, which raised thousands of dollars for various charities. 100% of the proceeds went directly to philanthropic organizations. Some notable events catered by Zest include Guilford Art Center art openings, house concerts, and celebrations such as wedding showers, dinner parties, and book clubs.
While working on the Zest brand, Ink&Pixel Agency used the bright, citrusy flavors of the lemon as inspiration. Yellow tote bags, funky posters, and colorful t-shirts are sold alongside key lime pie jars, chocolate raspberry profiteroles, and lemon blueberry cake. The Zest to-go bicycle caught eyes: a fully customized yellow bike built by artist Ron Lambert, with a sizable dessert compartment. The mouths of guests were filled with both laughter and goodies. Everyone who attended the pop-up experiences left with their hearts full and their taste buds satisfied. While the coronavirus cancelled events for 2020, we look forward to bringing back Zest pop-ups once it is safe to do so. Keep an eye out for future events hosted by Zest by Zophia, and feel free to reach out to us if you’re looking to host an event of your own!
