M!X Design Store on the Guilford Green isn’t just a client — it’s a shop that I love to support. In fact, I was a customer long before Ink&Pixel did work for them. They recently started a new email series called “Designers on Design,” and I was honored to be featured in their second one.
It encapsulates my favorite things: talking about my passion for my work as well as my opinion on some great gifts at M!X. The biggest challenge was keeping it short! When you think about design all day, look for inspiration in all of your experiences, when you have to keep a notebook by your bed for middle-of-the-night brilliant ideas (okay, some don’t make a lot of sense in the morning), it’s inevitable that you’ll have a lot to say.
Because I love everything in M!X, I wanted my choices to reinforce the fact that this is a marketing tool to encourage people to visit the shop. I focused on timing: graduation gifts, summer socializing, events to attend. Strategic thinking helped me narrow down my choices. And it worked! The Kent Stetson dog clutch sold immediately after the email was shared.
